Terms of service

Argent Gates is the trading name of Anhui Yuhui Metal Products Co., Ltd. (安徽御徽金属制品有限公司), a manufacturer of aluminium gates, fencing and pavilions in Hefei, Anhui, China. The company has been making gates since 2005; the present legal entity was registered on 12 April 2021. These terms govern your use of this website and the basis on which we quote.

1. This website is a catalogue, not a shop

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell. You cannot buy from these pages, and no order exists until we have issued a written quotation or proforma invoice and you have accepted it. Every design shown is made to the opening you measure, so the sizes, finishes and prices that apply to your project are the ones written on your quotation.

2. Prices shown here are indicative

Where this site shows price bands, they are indicative ranges for the product body only, converted at a stated rate and rounded. They exclude freight, duties, taxes, motors, locks and installation. They are not quotations, they are not held open, and currency movement alone can change them. Only a written quotation from us is a price.

3. Quotations and drawings

We quote free of charge. A simple layout normally comes back the same working day. A large or complex set of drawings may carry a design fee, or we may ask for a signed contract before drawing. A quotation states its own validity period; after that it lapses and must be re-issued.

Drawings we produce for you remain ours until the order is placed. Drawings, dimensions and site information you send us are used only to quote and to manufacture your order.

4. Orders, deposit and production

An order proceeds in the sequence set out on this site: enquiry, design selection, indicative price, measurement, drawing approval, final quotation, deposit, production, balance, despatch. Production begins after the deposit is received and the drawing is approved in writing. Because every item is cut to your opening, an approved drawing is the specification: changes after approval may not be possible, and where they are, they are re-quoted.

There is no minimum order. One piece ships, and different series may be mixed in one container.

5. Delivery terms

We supply on EXW or DDP terms as agreed in the quotation; the works prefers EXW. The Incoterm written on your quotation determines where risk and cost pass from us to you, and it governs over anything said on this website. Delivery dates given before an order are estimates, not commitments.

Sizes are limited by sea freight. A leaf too large to ship in one piece is manufactured to be jointed on site, and we will say so on the drawing before you approve it.

6. What is in the crate

Goods ship complete with their fixings, so that a local installer can hang them. Motors, locks and other powered or security hardware are optional, are quoted separately, and are not included unless your quotation lists them.

7. Product information and photographs

Photographs of installed work on this site were supplied by the works and are shown as supplied. They illustrate a design; they are not a representation of the dimensions, finish or site conditions of your order. Where a photograph and an approved drawing differ, the drawing governs.

Material, coating and structural specifications published on this site describe our standard production. The specification that applies to your order is the one written on your quotation.

8. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, photographs, drawings, layout and the marks used on it — belongs to Anhui Yuhui Metal Products Co., Ltd. (安徽御徽金属制品有限公司) or is used with permission, and may not be copied or republished without our written consent. Registered design rights held by the company are identified on the site by their public registration numbers, which anyone may verify with the issuing authority.

9. The website itself

This site is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption or free of error, and we may change or withdraw any part of it without notice. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, arising from use of this website or from reliance on indicative information published on it. Our liability in relation to goods supplied is governed by the quotation, the proforma invoice and our refund policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and the courts of Anhui Province have jurisdiction, unless your written contract with us provides otherwise.
